It’s a Double Edged Sword
Many gifted children and adults find that sometimes the easiest of tasks are genuinely painful to complete unless they can attach some sort of deeper meaning to them. This phenomenon can follow them from school when they are younger into the workforce as adults. To observers this may look like deficits in their abilities, or, if their abilities are obvious it may look like laziness. Once again, the double edge sword of giftedness. That which makes the simple hard, is also what motivates them to change the world in the most wondrous ways.
