What An Imagination!

Many gifted have a very active imagination; perhaps it can even be called over-active. A highly gifted adult once described her imagination as constantly seeing a different world through another lens, like a third eye. According to Dabrowski, the imaginational overexcitability can be described as a rich, vivid, and active imagination, and people who have this overexcitability might have unusual visualization abilities and elaborate dreams. This supersensitivity can contribute to a gifted person’s feelings of standing out as different– because most others do not also see through the lens of that third eye.
